Thermodynamic Study of Solar-Assisted Hybrid Cooling Systems with Consideration of Duration in Heat-Driven Processes

Solar-assisted hybrid cooling systems are promising for the energy saving of refrigeration systems. In most cases, solar thermal gain is only able to power heat-driven process facilities during part working period. Therefore, reduction compressor strongly depends upon duration processes, which has not been addressed properly. Motivated by such a knowledge gap, thermodynamic understanding solar-assisted deepened through considering in processes. Three absorption–compression-integrated cycles were taken as examples. It was found that optimal parameters, e.g., inter-stage pressure and temperature, corresponding various performance indicators tend be identical, processes into account. Furthermore, parameter different conditions obtained. The dimensionless intermediate temperature layout with cascade condensation varies slightly, 4%, conditions. Moreover, fall entire period nearly independent temperature. paper favorable efficient design operation
